Breakfront bookcases, scarce in America, are even less common in New England. The central bookcase contains a removable satinwood arcade & letter drawer interior. Mahogany, mahogany veneer with tulip poplar & white pine secondary woods. While essentially Georgian in design, Robert Mussey refers to this brief era, 1805- 1818 as Boston Regency. By direct descent from the Frisbie family, (Branford, Ct. 1644), et al.
