A. Cedro- California farm scene. Oil on canvas, early 20th century. Frame size H25" W 38-1/4" Canvas size H 21" W 34". Excellent condition. Frame is modern. A. Cedro was born in Russia. Cedro (a shortened version of his name) was staff artist with the Perry expedition to the arctic region in 1909. He then was active in Medford, OR and Yreka, CA where he painted scenes of Mt Shasta, nudes, still lifes, and murals. His primitive works fall into the category of folk art.
