Capture of the Guerriere by USS Constitution. Ink, watercolor and pigment on paper. Inscribed in ink, "The Capture of the Guerriere by the Constitution, on the 19th day of August, 1812, after a close action of 25 minutes". Signed 'J.F. Howell, November 5, 1812' in LRC. This piece has been evaluated out of the frame and we believe that it is not a print.
Condition: Paper mounted to board. Old repairs and imperfections. Please see high-resolution images.
