Six hand colored Celestial Maps comprising plates 3-8 from F. J. Huntington's Celestial Atlas published in Hartford in 1835. Plates 3-5 show the constellations seen in January - September. Plate 6 shows the Northern Circumpolar Map for Each Month in the Year. Plate 7 is the same for the Southern Sky. Plate 8 is a folding double page map "A Celestial Plainsphere Or Map Of The Heavens." All plates show some soiling around the edges, some minor edge chips, and pin holes where they were attached to the original binding, but all maps have full margins and would frame nicely. The double page plate has some staining and pin holes along the center fold, a crease along the top that obscurs some lettering. There is a small area of damage at the bottom, just right of center, affecting a few letters but mostly a blank area. Plates are housed in H 22" W 18" heavy gauge mylar portfolio pages.
