These wall mounted plaques are composed of layered and painted wooden dowels, each representing a Pythian virtue. Black symbolizes ÒPrudence,Ó red, ÒMagnanimity,Ó yellow, ÒConstancy,Ó white, ÒPurity,Ó and blue, ÒLoyalty.Ó Each colored rod was intended to link lodges across the nation with shared values. With their sculptural and strikingly contemporary form, the panels not only stand as objects rich in symbolism, but also abstract art.
