Classic, fine white cloth doll with charming, complete clothing, including blue sprigged calico off-the-shoulder dress, outer petticoat (as found), corded under-petticoat,lace-trimmed breeches, and a bead necklace. The embroidered facial features are arranged in a small central area of the face, the head is ÒlollipopÓ-shaped, and her hair is flax. American, 2nd quarter 19th century. this was one of the first dolls acquired in the collection and remained a favorite. H 24".
