Fine folk art hanging spice chest with hearts and stars. American , circa 1865. Beautiful original surface Poplar with contrasting walnut drawer fronts. Each drawer with 4 recessed hearts. Hearts are inset with alternating paper. Buff paper with stars and green paper with gold geometric design. 6 inset stars above the drawers are backed with original gold foil paper. T nailed drawer construction. Excellent condition, no restoration. H 23-1/4" W 10" D 4-3/4".
