Folding abstract backgammon-checkers. American, 19th century. Checkerboard is folding travel box. Reddish brown and putty squares on putty ground with freehand abstract border. Reverse is backgammon: Reddish brown and white triangles on putty ground with freehand decoration. Brass heart shaped escutcheon. Original condition.15 3/8Ó x 16Ó open. 15 1/2Ó x 8" closed.
