Checkerboard. American, circa 1875.Stipple painted multicolored squares and stippled red squares with human figures. Coachwork pin-striping border. Original gold leaf with red, green and white pin striping. Applied red molding. Back simply painted black with red frame. Inspected under UV light. No restoration noted. 16 7/8" x 16 7/8Ó.
