Fine early paint decorated dower chest with original paint. Inspected under UV light. Dated 1783. Probably Southern. Excellent as-found condition. interior till lid is partially missing.Remnants of partial later foot blocking campaign. Escutcheon an old replacement. Minor losses and imperfections.
