Bee box repurposed from a Shaker pantry box, c. mid-19th century. With its inset circular window, this inventive repurposed Shaker pantry box was used for beelining to find feral beehives in the wild. The folk art make-do at its best. Condition: A beautifully timeworn object, with wear, a couple of cracks, and old repairs. Great old paint and patina. Measurements 6 inches long,4.25 inches wide, 2 inches tall.
