1) E. E. Cummings (1892-1964) Proof sheet of page 27 comprising the first page of "The Meanings of Poetry" by John B. Newman. This page contains a poem by Cummings, and he has approved it "OK EEC". W 8-1/2' H11". Minor folds. 2) Nicholas Vachel Lindsay (1879-1931) A small work called "On the Building of Springfield" no date, no publisher. At the end of the poem is a bold signature. H 5-3/4" W 4-1/2" (closed) Condition: Excellent condition. 3) Lawrence Ferlinghetti (1919-2021) Poet/Activist. Two typed letters. One signed "larry" to Tom Pickard regarding The Penthouse interview, 27 Sept. 1965. The other is signed "lawrence" with a face doodle, to Mike Horowitz. Both on single sheet air mail stationary as the recipients were both from England. Both H 12" W 7". Condition: Both are in excellent used condition. One with top tears where the sheet was pulled off a holder, The other with one section of scissor cuts to open. 4) Amy Lowell (1874-1925) American poet. Pulitzer Prize 1926 (posthumously) Two typed letters signed. Both on her Brookline, Mass. letterhead. The first, dated 22 April, 1919 to a Mr. North, alerting him that two ms poems attributed to her not hers. Signed with her full name. H 7" W 8-1/2". Condition: Excellent (folds). The second is dated 28 April, 1922 to a Mr. Green. She scoffs at the idea that "any one's mere words can inspire any one else to do anything." And, "the object of life is work and not amusement...no man ever succeeds on eight hours a day..." H 11" W 8-1/2". Condition: Excellent (folds).
