Three scrimshaw teeth. One piece with an eagle perched on a drum with the American flag flying behind it and a trumpet on the ground. On the back is the rear of a drummer. One piece inscribed on back, "'Old Burnsides' Carved by tattoo artist. Elmo May Jr. Rappahannock. Dec 1862." On front, "1862", "General Burnside". One piece depicting a sailor with a bottle of rum sitting on a table with a mermaid on an anchor holding a bottle. Inscribed, "Free Trade Sailors Rights" Signed in the LR J.T. L 5" - 5-1/2" Condition: Minor imperfections. Age unknown.
