Thomas Mitchell Chandler, Jr. (1810-1854). Stoneware jar with slip trailing decoration. Chandler was in Edgefield around 1836 and had his own shop from 1850 - 1852. Horsepen Creek Pottery, Kirby Crossroads. Edgefield District, South Carolina, circa 1845. H 14-3/4" D (widest) 11-3/8" D (rim) 7-1/4" D (base) 7-1/4". Condition: Excellent original condition.
