Beautiful advertisements throughout. A listing of every business in the area. 8vo. Scarce. Also of Norwich interest is Uncas and Miantonomoh A Historical Discourse...By William L. Stone...New York 1842. 12 mo. First Edition. Also, Extracts from the Records of Colchester...From the Recording of Michael Taintor of "Brainford" Conn. Transcribed by Charles M. Taintor. Hartford: 1864 8vo. Also, The Columbian Orator...Boston...1817, 8v0. in flame calf leather binding. Also, Salkeld, Joseph...A Compendium of Roman and Grecian Antiquities...New-York 1844, 8vo in a full sheep binding. Also included is a finely bound small (32mo) copy of Church Services printed in Oxford, England 1n 1845. This full leather bound book in in great condition and has filigree worked brass corners, a similarly made clasp and catch, and IHS central brass stamped decoration on the front cover. All edges gilt. Bound by Peacock and Mansfield. It contains The Book of Common Prayer, The New Testament, and The Psalms of David in Meter (Brady & Tate). The book comes in a satin lined drop front box, with a flap closure and brass clasp (missing a part). The box is in need of repair. The flap top is no longer attached, and the satin is quite worn and dry. But it served it's purpose and protected the book.

Condition: Boyd's Directory is in very good condition with light wear and some chipping to spine ends. The 1817 Orator is in very good condition with typical edge wear. The other 3 book are worn and the cloth is worn, chipped, and missing in a few spots. Contents are complete. The condition of the Oxford book is included above.

All shipping is outsourced. All buyers and shippers must come prepared with appropriate packing materials and help for heavy items. Our staff will not be available to help move heavy items. If payment is made by check, items will be held 7 business days before an item is released for shipping.
Items can be picked up in person or by a shipper at 14 Business Park Drive - Unit 5, Branford, CT - BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction. Please note that all first-time buyers that wish to pick items up in person must pay with cash.

All purchases must be picked up from our location within 14 days, no exceptions. Purchased items that have been paid for but not picked up or shipped from our auction facility within 14 days of the auction will be stored at a rate of $10 per day per lot for furniture and larger items and $5 per day per lot for smaller items. A moving fee of $25 going into storage and $25 going out of storage will be added. Storage fees and late fees must be paid before items are released. There are no exceptions.
Items not picked up within 60 days of the auction date will be considered in default and become the property of New England Auctions.
