Rare carved folk art blind justice figure. Last quarter of the 19th century. Carved wood retaining an old historic painted surface. Overall height 42". See Shelburne Museum Collection (see image 5 ) for a larger, related example. Old touch up to left side of face. Imperfections and minor paint loss. Sword, partial old replacement.
