Paint decorated blanket chest. Blue-black decoration on mustard paint. New England, probably Maine, circa 1750. Original brasses and cotter pin hinges. Condition: Inspected under UV light. One side lid molding, as well as about 1/3 of front molding are restored .19th century mustard paint and decoration over the original blue paint.
