Important Moravian freehand molded stoneware owl with yellow slip and stamp work decoration. North Carolina, circa 1810. H 7-7/8" W 5-1/4" D 5-7/8". Condition: Excellent original condition. Glaze wear to tip of one ear. Base chip, light fleck or two on edge of rim. Provenance: Originally found in a barn in Lexington, North Carolina.
