Needlework sampler wrought by Mary Ely, aged 11, 1817. Born in NJ, the Ely family is later located in Bucks County, PA. Done in linen and silk, this busy sampler is surrounded on three sides by a border of grapevines. Alphabets and numbers, followed by a floral divider flanked by two floral pot displays. Mary's information is below flanked by stars. At the bottom is a three story brick house. Included are two folders of genealogical information. Frame: H 24" W 19-1/4".
