Lot of finely bound books to include: Twelve volume collected set of Emerson's Works (1876-1904). Similarly (but not exactly) bound in 3/4 leather with marbled paper covers and gilt spines. Marbled end sheets and all edges marbled. All bindings are sound and tight. A few spine labels dry and peeling. Very good condition. Japanese Fairy Tale Series. No. 16 The Wonderful Tea-Kettle. There were twenty books published in this series. Very good condition. George Cruikshank. Sunday In London, Illustrated In Fourteen Cuts...London: Effingham Wilson...1833. Bound by Ramage. Full red Morocco, gilt tooled covers and spine. Dentelles. All edges gilt. Fine, faintly marbled end papers. Original covers bound in at the end. Binding is very good, with bumped corners, age darkening, spine edge wear, and front hinge starting to weae. Light foxing. Bottom 3/4" corner of front free end paper is missing. The Royal Library. Marcus Aurelius. Arthur L. Humphreys. 1913. Uncut and at least partially unopened. Fine bright white laid paper text with Arnold watermark. Glassine cover (slight tear to front). Part of the Belles Lettres Series. Near fine condition.

All shipping is outsourced. All buyers and shippers must come prepared with appropriate packing materials and help for heavy items. Our staff will not be available to help move heavy items. If payment is made by check, items will be held 7 business days before an item is released for shipping.
Items can be picked up in person or by a shipper at 14 Business Park Drive - Unit 5, Branford, CT - BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction. Please note that all first-time buyers that wish to pick items up in person must pay with cash.

All purchases must be picked up from our location within 14 days, no exceptions. Purchased items that have been paid for but not picked up or shipped from our auction facility within 14 days of the auction will be stored at a rate of $10 per day per lot for furniture and larger items and $5 per day per lot for smaller items. A moving fee of $25 going into storage and $25 going out of storage will be added. Storage fees and late fees must be paid before items are released. There are no exceptions.
Items not picked up within 60 days of the auction date will be considered in default and become the property of New England Auctions.
