Large Ling-Shih scholar rock on a ornately carved Rosewood base. Jiangsu Province, China, 19th century. A superb scholar's rock of dramatic, natural formation. Deep black LIng Shih, upright with several whitish veins running diagonally. Dramatic water-eroded channels. 58.967 Kg. H 36" W 18-1/2" D 9". Provenance: Private collection 1989-2004.
