Important Walker Evans Archive. Over 60 photographs plus personal ephemera. Including iconic  SELF PORTRAIT silver print, circa 1929, H 3-1/2", W 2-1/8", published on page 62 in James Mellow's book on Evans . 47 vintage photographs many with pencil annotations and exposure notes which appear to be in Evan's handwriting. Sizes of 47 vintage images range from approx 2-1/2"x 1-1/2" to 4-1/2" to 2-1/2". Vintage double exposure self-portrait of Evans H 8" x 6". Large vintage Cafe interior attributed to Evans H 20", W 16". Vintage Unknown Portrait of a Lady, 7" x 7-3/4". 7 posthumous prints 8-1/2" x 11", circa 1980. 1posthumus print 8" x 10". 3 posthumus prints 14" x 10-3/4". 1 posthumus print approx 13-3/4" x 12-1/2" . Includes letter from John Hill, posthumous prints likely printed by John Hill, New Haven, Ct. 3 post cards sent by Evans to Leslie Katz, writer and publisher from Eakins Press, 2 signed Walker. Signed letter with envelope from Walker Evans to Leslie Katz. Envelope with letter from Evans addressed to Leslie Katz with Walker Evans return address. Mellow had a personal relationship with Walker Evans and lived nearby. After Evan's death in 1975, James Mellow used the diaries, letters and contact sheets to create the major biography on Walker Evans in 1999.
