Henri Matisse - La Chevelure 1952. Gouche on paper cut and pasted. Provenance Pierre Matisse Gallery. Signed lower center in pencil. Paper size: H 14", W 11". Framed size: H 15", W 12". Excellent condition. Mounted on what appears to be linen paper. Inscription verso reads Mounting by Levitzory (sp) in Paris in 1962. Some yellowing to linen paper. A couple of small brown foxing spots on the front. Provenance: Pierre Matisse; Harry Veit, Old Lyme, CT (personal friend of the Matisse family). Current owner 2012.
