Vermilye, President of the Clearing House of New York City. This was done twice, once on the back blank page (oops!) and again in the proper place on the front blank. First 3 pp (2 blanks and the Title) with 1.5"x3" chip broken off the bottom corner, not affecting text. Both covers detatched, but present. Spine strip is gone. Covers dusty, with some stains to top edges, wear, bumps, etc. A fine candidate for rebacking. Gorringe was responsible for the removal of Cleopatra's Needle in Egypt to it's new home in Central Park. Others too, in London, Paris, and the Vatican.
