New England Queen Ann candlestand. Probably New Hampshire, circa 1790. Cabriole legs with a shaped top. Retains a very early, 19th century painted surface to simulate veneer over original red. Exceptional original condition. Old 19th century filler on the underside, probably a filled knot. Overall H 27-1/2". Top dimensions W 15-3/8" D 15-3/4".
