Very fine and rare folk art farm scene painting with locomotive. American, inscribed on reverse, painted by Major Hershburger Fall of 1877. Oil on artist panel. Period frame. Frame size: H16-1/2", W 23-3/4". Painting size H12-1/2", W 19-7/8'". Provenance: Skinners Auctions. Excellent condition. Inspected under UV light. A few possible very minor retouches.
