Cassell, Peter, and Gilpin. London and New York. No date (late 19th c). One volume edition. Bound in full leather, embossed. Profusely illustrated. quarto. Complete. Leather is quite scuffed and rubbed. Some soiling, bumped corners, and the front hinge is cracked about 2/5th the way up from the bottom. Interior with some small tears to end papers, soiling and age darkened, but the interior is OK. Needs some sprucing up. A second, two volume edition, with added plates. Three hundred illustrations...100 etchings by Famous French Etchers. Cassell & Company. New York London Paris and Melbourne. No date (Early 20th c). Quarto. Bound in full red leather grained cloth, with paper spine labels. Green leafy end papers. Covers are dusty, light soiling, some small areas of color loss on front covers. Contents are fine, with little to no foxing. Some light age darkening.

All shipping is outsourced. All buyers and shippers must come prepared with appropriate packing materials and help for heavy items. Our staff will not be available to help move heavy items. If payment is made by check, items will be held 7 business days before an item is released for shipping.
Items can be picked up in person or by a shipper at 14 Business Park Drive - Unit 5, Branford, CT - BY CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact the gallery 24 hours in advance to make an appointment. Pickup can be scheduled for Monday through Friday between 9am - 3pm beginning the Monday after the date of the auction. Please note that all first-time buyers that wish to pick items up in person must pay with cash.

All purchases must be picked up from our location within 14 days, no exceptions. Purchased items that have been paid for but not picked up or shipped from our auction facility within 14 days of the auction will be stored at a rate of $10 per day per lot for furniture and larger items and $5 per day per lot for smaller items. A moving fee of $25 going into storage and $25 going out of storage will be added. Storage fees and late fees must be paid before items are released. There are no exceptions.
Items not picked up within 60 days of the auction date will be considered in default and become the property of New England Auctions.
