House painter's trade sign. "Miller M. Fogg House Painter". With decorative border including a lion face at top. Reverse side "House and Sign Painting" on a shield with face flanked by eagle wings, headdress of feathers in center at top. American, circa 1865. H 17-3/8" W 23-7/8". Condition: Fine condition with mostly original paint and a small amount of 19th century historic over-paint.
