Autographs of George III and Queen Victoria in two documents. 1) Manuscript document being an order to pay John Durand, a victualler, for provisions shipped and delivered to forces in the West Indies. Signed by George III upper left as usual. Also signed lower right by North, Townshend, and Beauchamp. October 20th, 1774. Size: H 14-3/4" x W 9-5/8". Condition: Center fold with 4-1/2" split on the right side, and a 2-1/4" split on the left side. 1/2" edge splits on the other two folds, with some minor edge chips along the sides. Overall very good, with great signatures. 2) Commissioning Document for Sir Robert Baxter Llewelyn, appointing him to be "Governor and Commander-In-Chief in and over Our Windward Islands...". Dated 3rd November 1900. Signature at end of George Hamilton "By Her Majesty's Command". Top left with a bold signature of Queen Victoria, partially obscured by her wax seal, in very fine condition. Size: H 12-5/8" x W 7-3/4". Condition: Excellent condition. Very slight evidence of three folds, a few minor light stains, and some slight toning overall.
