Lot of 5 surgical instrument catalogs all from New York. 1. John Reynders & Co. Illustrated Catalogue and Price List of Surgical Instruments. Spectacles, Eyeglasses, Optical Goods, Orthopaedical...Sixth Edition. New York. 1889. 398 pp. 8 vo. Full brown cloth, embossed in gilt and blind. Binding has wear, some silverfish marks,and fraying to corner tips and top and bottom of spine. Some chips/tears to edges of prelims and several pages. Contents mostly very good, with some minor soiling from use. Profusely illustrated. 2. A second. 5th edition. Full brown cloth, with water damage causing some warping to binding with associated spots and discoloration. Foxing inside covers and into pages some.. This edition has two identical pink insert pages noticing the discontinuation of their Chicago Branch, due to circumstances beyond their control. Contents differ from the subsequent (6th) edition listed above. Condition is similar. 3. Geo.Tiemann & Co. The American Armamentarium Chirurgicum. New York. 1879. 5 parts and Supplements up to 1879. 8vo. An outstanding surgical instrument catalog. 1/2 leather (faux?) with pebbled cloth covers. Gilt info on spine and front cover. The leather spine is almost totally off the binding, yet both covers are secure. Part of spine bottom is torn away, there is 1 front to back teat of the spine, and the spine top is chipped. Otherwise the book is in very fine condition, and the contents are excellent. Profusely Illustrated. 4. George Tiemann & Company. Makers of Surgical Instruments. New York. 1926. 96 pp plus a price list for July 1, 1927. 8 vo. Simulated leather soft cove, with raised gilt "plaque" on front cover. Only the lightest of edge wear. Overall excellent condition. 5. Aug E. Frass Company, Inc. Surgical Instrument Makers. Standard Surgical Instruments. New York. n.d. ca. 1920. 416 pp.8vo. Full red cloth embossed in black. Minor edge wear. Inner hinge of rear cover cracked and repaired. Contents profusely illustrated and in excellent condition.
